MINUTES OF MEETING APRIL 29, 2022

President Doug Fisher chaired the meeting. Called to order 3.00 PM

1. Minutes of Meeting March 26, 2022 approved as printed Moved by Deloris Ankrom Seconded Liliane Trembly Carried
2. New business Congratulations to our Flight C team winners of the CNTC John Hindle, Dave West, Brian Macri. Jeff Gosman they accomplished this by winning by 1 imp. Great going team. Also our Flight A Team with Doug Fisher, Bob Todd and Neil Kimelman are in the Quarter Finals Good luck Team
3. Update on Live Games Unit 181 are running games Wed Aft, Sat Aft, Bill Treble has games Thurs Aft and Wed. Eve. Averaging 6 to 8 games during the day Evening game 4-6 tables There is still some reluctance of our members to attend live games
4. Update on Virtual Games Friday Afternoon Unit Game Average 6-8 Tables Bill Treble Tuesday Afternoon 8-9 Tables, Kirkfield Westwood Monday Evening average 9 tables
5. Process for determining Special Events these include Stac Games, Qualifying Games, ACBL and Cdn Specials. Dave West will Co-ordinate. We will post a calendar of events on the Web Site and send out mass emails advising the events
6. NAP qualifying games will be held June- August at all clubs. A schedule will be forthcoming.
7. Motion moved by Shirley Galler Seconded by Ray Hornby the price for the Nap Qualifying games will remain at Regular Club fees. Additional table fees required will be paid by Unit 181 Carried
8. Bridge Lessons will commence in Fall of 2022
9. Suggestions for improving live games Doug will approach Allison re Acoustic tiles being installed in the room to alleviate the noise problem
10. Annual General Meeting will be held June 11,2022 updates will appear on the web site. Awards for the Ace of Clubs and the Mini McKenny for the years 2019,2020,2021 will be presented.
11. Learn Bridge in a Day will be presented in Fall of 2022 this will allow bridge lessons and supervised play games to be arranged.
12. Next meeting Thursday June 9, 2022 at 7.00PM via zoom
