HARBHAJAN (BASHIE) PAL Harbhajan Pal (aka Bashie) passed away on October 20, 2017. Bashie passed away peacefully in Denver, Colorado, after battling a brief bout of cancer. She was surrounded by countless loved ones. She was born in Hoshiarpur Punjab, India on January 13, 1937. She was married on August 4, 1964 to Harinder Pal. Left to celebrate her life are her husband of more than 50 years, Harinder; her two beloved children: son, Robinder, and daughter, Sarina, as well as her three grandchildren, Vikram and Anisha Pal, and Jaya Williams. Bashie worked at Regent Park Elementary School in Winnipeg for 30 years. She had a fierce passion for life and her love of golf had her spending her spare time at Southwood Golf Club. She made so many close friends during her 51 years in Winnipeg. Her loyalty and care for her family could not be measured. She had a quick wit that would bring you to tears of laughter. Her obsessive compulsive tendencies when it came to safety for her family never went unnoticed or unappreciated. No fur baby went without attention and love from Bashie, she loved every dog in the family as a member of the family. She was loved and will be missed by her sisters Jiti, Guddi and baby sister Amrit, brother Santokh, nieces and nephews across North America, London and India, and many other friends around the globe. Bashie's wishes were for an intimate ceremony of cremation which will be held on October 28 at 8:00 a.m. in Denver, Colorado, followed by Kirtan and Antim Ardaas at 2:00 p.m. at the Colorado Singh Sabha Gudawara. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca or to Lupus Canada, www.lupuscanada.org May her soul be with Babaji in peace.
